The Centrist Democratic Party of the Philippines (CDP) - Ang Partido ng Tunay na Demokrasya will conduct its 12th National Council Meeting on 25 November 2016 in Makati City and 7th National Congress on 26 November 2016 in Silang, Cavite.
September 12, 2016 – Today marks the 4th year milestone of the Centrist Democratic Party of the Philippines (CDP) as a national membership-based political party. It was founded on January 14, 2012 in Makati City and established its first set of national executive officers subsequently on March 18 of the same year.
The Centrist Democracy Political Institute (CDPI) in partnership with the Centrist Democratic Party of the Philippines, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), 2005 ConCom, and local chambers around the Philippines successfully held its sixth Federalism conference in Puerto Prinsesa Palawan last August 18 (Thursday) with about 135 participants from various institutions joining the discussion.
The officers of the Centrist Democratic Party of the Philippines (CDP) convened for a two-day roundtable discussion on pursuing the Federalism-Parliamentary campaign last August 8-9 at the N Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City. The event included an assessment of the party’s participation to the recent national and local elections, evaluating the status of the members and accounting the leadership of the newly elected members of the CDP.
A Conference on Federal-Parliamentary system has been successfully held for the fourth and fifth time in the city of Cebu and San Fernando, Pampanga.
With its consistent banner, “Pursuing Federalism: A Shift from Unitary - Presidential to Federal - Parliamentary Government”, the two recently held FedCons were able to converge various individuals in the locality in its goal to provide feasible recommendations to President Duterte’s administration in his Federal advocacy.
A high level delegation of PDP Laban leaders were sent by their President, Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III to Davao City to meet with the Centrist Democratic Party (CDP) and the Centrist Democracy Political Institute (CDPI) Chairman Lito Lorenzana to explore the resumption of the coalition talks which was discontinued in the later part of 2015. To recall, the then Chairman of the PDP-Laban, and former South Cotabato Governor Mike Sueno, who lead the coalition talks gave way to the party chairmanship to now President-elect Rodrigo Duterte.
