14th National Council Meeting

The Centrist Democratic Party of the Philippines (CDP) – Partido Para Pederalismo has successfully conducted the 14th National Council Meeting last April 6 at Mapawa Nature Park, Cagayan de Oro City.
The Party discussed concerns regarding membership, establishment of reform policies to strengthen the party, and revitalization and re-indoctrination of old members for sustainability of political literacy and party fidelity. The discussion further adverted to members exerting sustained efforts in disseminating public information and access reliable sources to better understand political and government systems. The delegates reaffirmed to continue advocating the vision and mission of the party and to uphold its principles and values towards attaining the organization’s objectives.
Along the chapter reports, CDP’s National Treasurer Mr. Angelo Dwight L. Penson stated, “We need to acquire paradigm shift; however, we have to be consistent in our beliefs if we wanted to convince our fellowmen to join the party. It is our job to put integrity in everything that we do.” Further, Atty. Rufus B. Rodriguez, the party National President, has put an emphasis on the possibilities for coalition with other political parties in the national elections. Thus he encouraged the delegates to put into resolutions during the party Congress everything that has been proposed thus far in the council meeting.
The CDP 14th National Council Meeting also held the election of national officers of the party and the following are the newly appointed officers: Atty. Rufus B. Rodriguez as President; Gov. Robert Dulay as the Secretary General; Mr. Jordan Jay C. Antolin as the appointed Deputy Secretary-General; Dr. Jack Arroyo as the Treasurer; Ms. Lily Lim as the Deputy Treasurer; Mr. Angelo Dwight L. Penson as the NCR Vice President; Mr. Guillermo Hernandez as the Luzon Vice President; Mr. Prince Rejene Lakibul as the Visayas Vice President; and Mr. Perfecto Cagaanan Jr. as the Mindanao Vice President.
Centrist Democratic Party of the Philippines continues to advocate Federalism through different activities initiated by its local chapters and the Institute, the CDPI.
